Romano PRODI (Keynote Speaker)

Former President of the European Commission. Former Prime Minister of Italy. After graduation at the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University in Milan and at the London School of Economics. Academic career began at the Department of Economics, Faculty of Political science of the University of Bologna, as an assistant professor (1963), associate professor (1966) and full professor (1971-1999) of industrial organisation and industrial policy. He helped establish the "Italian school of industrial policy", and acted for several years as the editor of its quarterly journal, L'Industria, Rivista di Economia e Politica Industriale. In 1981 he founded Nomisma, the largest Italian institute of economic studies, whose scientific committee he chaired until 1995. From November 1978 to March 1979, Minister of Industry. From November 1982 to October 1989, chairman and CEO of the Institute for Industrial Reconstruction (IRI), the largest Italian public holding. In February 1995 he founded the "Olive tree". The coalition won the 1996 election and, in May 1996 till October 1998, he was Prime Minister. HisCabinet enabled Italy to meet the Maastricht criteria for joining the Euro zone. From 1999 to 2005 he has been President of the European Commission. During his presidency, the euro was successfully introduced and the Union was enlarged to 10 new countries. In 2006 Romano Prodi became again Prime Minister, until May 8, 2008. Since then, he is President of the Foundation for Worldwide Cooperation and from July 2008 to 2010 Chairman of the United Nations-African Union High-level Panel for Peacekeeping in Africa. From February 2009 to December 2013 Professor at-large at Brown University (USA). From 2010 to November 2015 Professor of CEIBS (China Europe International Business School) in Shanghai and now Member of the Board of the same School. From October 2012 to January 2014 Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for the Sahel. Romano Prodi has been awarded a number of recognitions and he also holds 38 honorary degrees. In March 2018 he was elected (the only European) as member of the Board of the Boao Forum for Asia.

Fulvio Albano is President of the Italy Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce. In 2015 he was honored by the President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, Trương Tấn Sang, with the prestigious Medal of International Friendship.


She is currently the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Italian Republic since 2017. She has also been posted to the the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Nations in New York; the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Nations, and WTO. Ambassador Andayani is also Permanent Representative to the FAO, IFAD, WFP, and Representative to UNIDROIT.


Graduated with honor in Economics from the University of Turin, he also has a master's degree in Banking & Finance at Bocconi. He has been involved in different fields from Sales Department, pricing analysis, Strategic Marketing Department to Customer Satisfaction and Market Research Division. In 2014 he joined the Innovation Center of Intesa Sanpaolo, supporting innovative projects of the Bank, creating new business opportunities for international Company Customers, scouting new technologies and generating international collaborations in order to facilitate match-making.

He is Head of sales & marketing at Pininfarina. He manages the marketing and business development strategy across the different verticals and territories. He is ambassador of the “Design Thinking as a strategic business tool to create sustainable competitive advantages”, and drives the company business growth through the development of strategic partnerships and collaborations.

H.E. Abdul Malik Melvin CASTELINO

His Excellency Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino is the Malaysian Ambassador to the Republic of Italy since May 2018. Previously he served in United Kingdom and Nigeria. His last post was as the Special Officer to the Malaysian Foreign Minister based in Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur. He is accredited as the Malaysian Ambassador to the Republic of Kosovo and Republic of San Marino.


Simone Centola is a lawyer working with Withers KhattarWong in Singapore since 2010. His practice encompasses a wide-range of legal and strategic advisory work for Government-owned corporations, listed and private companies across several industries as well as acting as counsel in international arbitrations.

Enrica Delgrosso is Head of Coverage for NorthWest for SACE SIMEST- CDP Group. She joined SACE SIMEST in 2006 in the corporate and structured finance team. Previously she worked in consulting. She holds a MBA from SDA Bocconi and a business degree with honors from University of Turin.

Giuseppe DI LIETO

Giuseppe Di Lieto is General Manager at Gefran Siei Asia, based in Singapore. In his role, Giuseppe is responsible for Gefran’s operation in the Asian Far East, serving markets such as ASEAN, Taiwan and South Korea.

Mr. Reza is Chief Marketing Officer of PT Almaviva Indonesia Kontak, Jakarta based, fast growth System Integrator and BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) for Call Center Services. The mission of the Company is to bring the cutting-edge Italian technology, know-how, expertise in the local Industry 4.0 and CRM market.

Anuar Fariz FADZIL

He is the Head of Government Relations and Stakeholder Management in Axiata Group Berhad. In 2008 has held key positions in notable companies and organizations as Petronas and Khazanah Nasional. Prior to this, he was Special Officer to the Minister of International Trade and Industry, Malaysia. In 2014, he participated in negotiations for the the TPP, coordinated the the ASEAN Economic Ministers working group, in-charge of coordinating the Minister’s officer and the Malaysian Investment Development Authority as well as the Malaysia External Trade and Development Cooperation on policies for investments and trade, strategy and implementation.


President of the Italy-Myanmar Camber of Commerce. Mr. Piero Fassino is a member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies. Elected in 1994, re-elected until 2011 - when he became Mayor of Turin (2011-2016) - and again elected to Parliament in 2018. He was also State Undersecretary for Foreign and European Affairs (1996-1998), Minister for Foreign Trade (1998-2000), Minister of Justice, (2000-01). In 2007 he was among the founders of the Democratic Party (PD). From 2007 to 2011 he was Special Envoy of the European Union for Burma/Myanmar.

Giuseppe GABUSI (Chair)

Giuseppe Gabusi is Assistant Professor of International Political Economy and Political Economy of East Asia at the University of Turin. He is also one of the co-founders of T.wai, Torino World Affairs Institute, where he is the Head of Program "Asia Prospect".

Marco GHIO

Marco Ghio operates within the Global Transaction Banking of the Corporate & Investment Banking Division. With a long experience in Trade Finance and International Cash Management, he is now heading the Italian network specialists supporting Italian SMEs in doing business abroad: import/export or cross-border liquidity management.

PhD in International Relations, he is currently Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Turin where he works on a joint research project with the Turin Chamber of Commerce focused on Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. He is also Research Fellow at Torino World Affairs Institute (T.wai) where he acts as RISE's managing editor.

He is currently the Secretary General of IMBA, the Italy Malaysia Business Association. After obtaining a Master’s Degree in Marketing Management from Bocconi University in 2016, he had a few international experiences as a strategy and management consultant in Asia before joining IMBA in January 2018.

H.E. Nguyen Thi Bich HUE

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Hue serves as Ambassador of Viet Nam to Italy, concurrently accredited to Cyprus, Malta and San Marino, and Permanent Representative of Viet Nam to Rome-based UN agencies, including FAO, IFAD and WFP. From year 2012 to 2016, she was named Minister – Counselor at the Viet Nam Embassy in France. Ms. Hue has a Master of Public Administration and is fluent in both English and French.

Local entrepreneur with more than 20 years experience in logistic and trading. Arrived in Singapore in 1998 after 8 years of work in the logistics industry of New York. Fouunded his own company in 2004 and now has over 140 employees in 10 offices across SEA. .

Marco Luongo joined CNH Industrial in 2012 as Public Affairs Specialist. In 2014 he served as CNH Industrial International Relations Manager for Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific in the Institutional Relations Department with the goal to create, develop and build solid relations with institutional stakeholders, diplomatic missions and international organizations in order to support the Companies’ business development. Since March 2019, Marco serves as CNH Industrial International Relations Manager for Europe and Asia Pacific in the Institutional Relations Department.

H.E. Myint NAUNG

He was appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the Republic of Italy since 2014. He served as Ambassador for four years at South Africa. He performed the various duties in Defence Services up to rank of Brigadier General from 1977 to 2010. He holds Bachelor of Arts in History and Master of Arts in Defence from Defence Service Academy.

Christian NERI

He is an Internationalization Specialist for the Regional Governance Center Piemonte, Liguria and Valle d’Aosta.
He boasts an extensive international experience in various European countries, in particular in Eastern Europe.

H.E. Domingo P. NOLASCO

Philippine Ambassador to the Italian Republic Domingo P. Nolasco arrived in Rome and took charge of the Embassy effective 15 March 2015. He is also accredited as non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Malta, Republic of San Marino and Republic of Albania. He is also the Permanent Representative to the Rome-based UN Agencies.

Romeo ORLANDI (Chair)

Romeo Orlandi is the Vice President of the Association Italy-ASEAN and President of the think tank Osservatorio Asia. He is Professor of Globalization and Far East in various post-graduate courses. He was Trade Commissioner for the Italian Government and a member of many scientific committees.

Beniamino QUINTIERI (Chair)

Beniamino Quintieri is Chairman of SACE since 2016 and full Professor of International Economics at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. He is also Chairman of the Manlio Masi Foundation (National Observatory for Internationalization and Trade). From 2001 to 2005 he was President of the Italian Trade Agency (ICE). In 2005, President of the Republic Carlo Azeglio Ciampi awarded him the highest honor of Knight Grand Cross.

Arham Abdul RAHMAN

He is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of MIDA, Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) and joined it in 1989 and worked primarily in the Foreign Investment Division. Previously, served at MIDA office in New York, USA and Cologne, Germany; Mr. Arham Abdul Rahman major attached with Investment Promotion and led 3 divisions of MIDA, Foreign Investment, Domestic Investment and Corporate Communications. In addition, supervised the coordination of MIDA’s 12 state offices and 20 overseas offices.


He is the Ambassador of Thailand and was a lawyer by training. In 1984, he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand. Almost all the time in his career, he served at the Department of Treaties and Legal Affairs of the Foreign Ministry. He started his career as an Attaché in the Legal Division. After 32 years of service in the Foreign Ministry, before taking the assignment in Rome, he was the Director-General of that Department. His foreign assignments included Indonesia, Germany and Brunei Darussalam. He arrived in Rome in February 2019.


After 8 years in Danieli Far East, the Danieli company of the group based in Thailand, appointed as COO in the last 2 years, he is currently EVP of Manufacturing for the Danieli Group since July 2018.

Ardi Setiadharma is the Group CFO of Prasetia Dwidharma, a multi-business company based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Together with his twin brother, Arya Setiadharma, he founded the company in 2008 as a construction contractor in the telecommunication industry. They have expanded into other business in several industries, such as coal mining, renewable energy, media, and agriculture. Prasetia Dwidharma has been also investing in technology startups in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, China, and USA. Michele TOMEA

Michele Tomea is General Secretary at the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Thailand since 2015. He implemented many projects about renewable energies, infrastructures and others linked to the promotion of the Italian food. He also supports the TICC Gems & Jewelry Committee since its foundation in 2017.

Frederik Gerard WORANG

He is the Commissioner of Bank SulutGo and graduated in Business Marketing at Oklahoma State University and received his PhD in Management & Governance at Murdoch University. He has worked at ABN Amro Bank as an Investigastion Department and Risk Control Department, lecturer at Sam Ratulangi University and subsequently appointed as Commissioner of PT Bank SulutGo as a result of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders in September 2016.

Lim Wei YEE

Since 2007, LIM Wei Yee is the Chief Operating Officer of ViTrox Corporation Berhad that ViTrox designs and manufactures innovative, leading edge and cost effective automated vision inspection equipment and system on chip embedded electronics devices for the semiconductor and electronics packaging industries. He holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, 1 st Class Honors Degree from University of Malaya. He has more than 29 years of experience in machine design, metalfabrication, manufacturing, sales / marketing and Corporate Fu nction roles.


Alfredo Zanardi manages Opportunity Network's activities in Italy and Switzerland from the beginning of 2018. He has been involved in the implementation of the partnership between Opportunity Network and several world-class banks.
